FEATURE BY FEATURE AND DOLLAR FOR DOLLAR, THE 2016 HYUNDAI AZERA OFFERS MORE THAN THE 2016 TOYOTA AVALON OR 2016 FORD TAURUS

At first glance, it may appear that the 2016 Toyota Avalon, which starts at $32,650, and 2016 Ford Taurus, which begins at $27,110, are a better deal than the 2016 Hyundai Azera, as Hyundai's full-sized sedan has a starting MSRP of $34,100, however any attempt to compare these models at a point by point, technical level soon reveals that the Azera includes more standard features than comparatively priced 2016 Avalon and 2016 Taurus trims.  Given that many of these features involve technologies that can help prevent accidents, the 2016 Azera comes off as a stronger option every time it is compared to other models in its class.

WITH THE 2016 HYUNDAI AZERA, ADVANCED SAFETY COMES STANDARD AT A LOWER PRICE THAN ON THE 2016 AVALON OR 2016 TAURUS

Every 2016 Hyundai Azera for sale at Rosen Hyundai comes with Blind Spot Detection (BSD), Rear Cross-traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Change Assist (LCA), and a Rearview Camera.  The 2016 Azera Limited even includes standard Automatic High Beam Assist, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Forward Collision Warning (FCW).  On the 2016 Toyota Avalon, however, none of these features are standard on the base models, with a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) system only beginning as standard features with a 2016 Avalon XLE Premium trim that, at a starting MSRP of $35,850, is more expensive that the standard 2016 Azera, which starts at $34,100.  Though Toyota does offer a Safety Sense™ P package that includes Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, it's at an additional cost to 2016 Avalon Limited trims that, at a starting MSRP of $40,450, are already more expensive than the 2016 Azera Limited.

This discrepancy also appears when drivers compare the 2016 Hyundai Azera to the 2016 Ford Taurus.  Though the base 2016 Taurus starts at only $27,110, the comparatively priced 2016 Taurus Limited trim, which starts at $34,460, only offers BLIS® (a blind-spot alert system) with Cross-Traffic Alert and a lane-keeping system as options that add to the sticker price.  Even when the most expensive Taurus trim, the $40,275 Taurus SHO, is added to the mix, most advanced safety features are still only options.  Once again, then, the 2016 Azera offers more features that can actually help prevent accidents at a lower cost to consumers than its competitors.

WHEN IT COMES TO ENTERTAINMENT AND INFOTECH SYSTEMS, THE 2016 AZERA OFFERS MORE UPFRONT THAN THE 2016 AVALON OR 2016 TAURUS

Most drivers who want to compare the 2016 Hyundai Azera with the 2016 Toyota Avalon or 2016 Ford Taurus will inevitably ask what kind of entertainment and information systems they get with each model.  In the case of the 2016 Azera, each model comes standard with an Infinity® Logic 7® premium audio system with 14 speakers, an external 550 watt amplifier, and a subwoofer as well as an advanced navigation system with an 8-inch touchscreen.  On the 2016 Avalon, however, models that are priced in the range of the standard Avalon come with an Entune™ Audio Plus with Connected Navigation App that only features eight speakers and a 7-inch touchscreen, with an Entune™ Premium JBL® Audio with Integrated Navigation and GreenEdge® speakers only appearing on the most expensive trims.  Ford, likewise, does offer a premium sound system from Sony® and navigation, however both are only optional on all models.
