Hyundai IONIQ 6 EV
The Hyundai IONIQ 6 EV will be available in both a single- and dual-motor configuration. Additionally, two battery packs will be available and either rear- or all-wheel drive. Depending on which configuration you choose, it's possible to extend the IONIQ 6 range to 320 miles. This EV is available in three trim levels that include SE, SEL, and Limited. While we don't have information on HP yet, since the IONIQ 6 shares a platform with the IONIQ 5, we're confident that it will get at least 168 hp for the base single-motor configuration and 320 for the dual-motor offering which is enough to get this EV from zero to 60 in just a hair over five seconds.
As mentioned, a 320-mile driving range is possible with the larger of the two battery packs. That battery is the 77.4-kWh pack with the standard 53.0-kWh pack getting about 220 miles per charge. Again, the numbers on fuel economy aren't available yet, but looking at the Ioniq 5 tells us to expect about 132 MPGe in the city and 98 MPGe on the highway.
Interior and Safety Features
The Hyundai IONIQ 6 interior offers a lot of comfort to both driver and up to four additional passengers. It's not just roomy, but it's modern and quiet too thanks to the sound-deadening material used in its construction. For connectivity and infotainment, we love the 12-inch digital gauge cluster. The infotainment is also 12 inches and easy to read. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are both offered and use BlueLink to operate.
Safety and driver-assistance features on the IONIQ 6 include the following:
● Standard automated emergency braking w/ pedestrian detection
● Standard lane-departure warning w/ lane-keeping assist
● Available adaptive cruise control w/ lane-centering feature
